The John Day Valley is located in Eastern Oregon, approximately 125 miles east of Bend, Oregon and approximately 175 miles west of Boise, Idaho. The two major roads into the area are Hwy 26 (from the east and west) and Hwy 395 (from the north and south).

OUR FOCUS


Jim & Sandy Bay opened Canyon Mountain Center in 2010 as a Meditation and Well-Being Center to offer complementary and alternative health possibilities for those wishing to expand their focus on health and wellness, stress reduction techniques, personal growth options and expansion of consciousness and human potential.

Our focus is to promote healthy lifestyle choices by providing stress reduction techniques, yoga, pilates, meditation and informational classes and meetings.  We offer this space for classes and meetings of a related nature.  Contact Jim & Sandy for further information.  See our "Contact Us" page.

Jim Bay has used meditation techniques for more than 40 years.  Jim acknowledges as his sources and teachers Alan Watts, Phillip Kapleau, Suzuki Roshi, Baker Roshi, James McPherson, Adyashanti, and his wife Sandy. 
 
Sandy Bay has studied a multitude of energy healing techniques.  Her interest is in teaching how the subtle energy fields surrounding us affect us on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level -- and how to shift outdated patterns through conscious awareness.

New Meditation/Yoga Center (2018):

Our new Mediation/Yoga Center was completed in January, 2018.  We offer free meditating on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday at 6:30 a.m.  ​Yoga and pilates classes have begun.  See our "Meditation" and "Yoga & Pilates" pages for information and schedules. ​
